The Pennant and Championship cover clubs from Port Macquarie, Newcastle, Central Coast, South Coast and Highlands areas as well as the Greater Sydney Basin.

The Super Senior Pennant competition has been growing year on year with 69 teams and 992 players in 2025. Our popular Super Senior Championship is played annually and offers a prize pool of over $2,000.

In 2026 we will introduce our new Northern Championship to be played in February with registrations opening soon.

TO ALL REGISTERED PLAYERS IN THE SUPER SENIOR COMPETITION.

As we enter the Final series of the 2026 Super Senior Pennant, it is my responsibility as Chair of the SSP to advise all registered players, that Leigh Brydson has decided to step down from his role as Captain of the SSP, effective 1/09/2026. Beyond that date, Leigh has indicated that he will continue to be a resource during the Finals series and thereafter to assist the Committee in any capacity in which he can.

Notwithstanding the efforts of all of the individual Committee members, who devote an enormous amount of their free time to provide a match play and two other individual championship events every year, Leigh has been the driving force behind a number of significant developments over the past eighteen months to improve the overall performance of the competition for all players. The main development being the introduction of Golf Genius as the base platform for managing all of our competitions. We thank Leigh for his dedicated contribution to the NSWSSGA and wish him well in the future.

I would also like to take this opportunity to advise all players, that the timing of the 2027 Pennant is under review by the Committee and any change from the current timing may possibly affect the dates of the two championship events. We will advise the outcome of those deliberations as soon as possible.
